関本研究室修士課程一年の矢部君が工学系研究科の「武者修行プログラム」に参加し、アメリカ東海岸各地の様々な大学・研究機関を訪問し、研究発表を行いました。訪問先であるSenseableCity Lab (MIT), Vespignani Lab (Northeastern Univ.), CIESIN (Columbia Univ.), GFDRR (World Bank), Taylor Lab (Virginia Tech.) 等で、「災害発生時の人々の行動予測」に関する研究について発表を行い、多くの現地の教授・研究者と議論・意見交換を行いました。期間は2/28〜3/16です。
Master Student Mr. Yabe visited many universities and research institutes in the US to present his works in a program funded by the Faculty of Engineering. He visited SenseableCity Lab (MIT), Vespignani Lab (Northeastern Univ.), CIESIN (Columbia Univ.), GFDRR (World Bank), Taylor Lab (Virginia Tech.), and many more organizations to present his research works on “Predicting and Understanding Human Mobility in Disasters”.
