1月23日にアパグループ、アフラック生命保険株式会社、GMOメイクショップ株式会社、株式会社セールスフォース・ジャパン、Packcity Japan株式会社、日本郵便株式会社、楽天グループ株式会社、東京大学の共創パートナーは、業界の枠を越えて住所の課題を解決することを目的とした共創型コンソーシアム「デジタルアドレス・オープンイノベーション（DAOI）」を発足しました。
オブザーバーとして、総務省、デジタル庁が参加し、産業界・学術機関・行政機関が連携することで、社会全体が抱える「住所にまつわる課題」を解決し、持続可能な社会の実現にも貢献することを目指すものです。
なお、DAOI設立の記者発表には、空間情報科学研究センター長として関本教授が参加しました。住所、地名などをコンピュータで取り扱いやすくする取り組みは、センターでは大変長い歴史があり、積極的に連携を深めていく所存です。

On January 23, APA Group, Aflac Life Insurance Japan, GMO Makeshop, Salesforce Japan, Packcity Japan, Japan Post, Rakuten Group, and the University of Tokyo jointly launched a cross-industry co-creation consortium titled “Digital Address Open Innovation (DAOI)”, with the aim of addressing challenges related to addresses beyond industry boundaries.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Digital Agency are participating as observers. By bringing together industry, academia, and government, the consortium seeks to solve societal challenges related to addresses and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
At the press conference announcing the launch of DAOI, Professor Sekimoto participated in his role as Director of the Center for Spatial Information Science (CSIS). CSIS has a long history of research on making addresses and place names more computable, and the center looks forward to further strengthening collaboration through this initiative.
